Our Cardiologists

Deo Medical Cardiology was founded by cardiologist Dr. Rahul C. Deo. Our cardiologists trained at leading academic medical centers and share one approach to heart care: measure the right things, treat early, and keep pace with the science.

Dr. Rahul C. Deo
Cardiologist

Rahul C. Deo, MD, PhD

Dr. Deo is a board-certified cardiologist (ABIM Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease). He earned his MD at Cornell University Medical College and his PhD at The Rockefeller University through the Tri-Institutional MD–PhD program, trained in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and in cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and is a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School.

He spent more than a decade as an academic physician-scientist — on the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco and later at Harvard, and as Chief Data Scientist of One Brave Idea, a research initiative applying machine learning to cardiovascular disease. His work, including foundational research on the automated interpretation of echocardiograms, has appeared as first- and senior-author publications in journals including Cell, Nature, and Nature Genetics. He is Co-Founder, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Product Officer of Atman Health.

Deo Medical Cardiology grew from a simple conviction: the modern tools of cardiology — advanced biomarkers, imaging, genomics — can prevent far more disease than reactive care does, when a cardiologist measures the right things and acts on them early.
